HOW TO USE

How to tighten a loose bolt using the Crank Brush.

1. Make sure the hanger is angled toward the direction of the fall, but not totally vertical. Look at other bolts as an example. If you look at the part of the hanger you're clipping as a clock, it should be hanging at the 5 o'clock angle.

2. Tighten the bolt using your fingers at first.

2. Place the Crank Brush over the bolt.

3. Turn the brush 1/4 turn past finger tight. This should be just before it gets painful to turn the bolt. Imagine you're tightening a plumbing fixture. You want it to be solidly snug but not too tight.

4. Climb on.

Be sure to also pack a small crescent wrench in your bag in case you're in an area with older bolts.
